Legends—Airfoil

A precision-machined keypiece inspired by the golden era of personal aviation. Built for pilots who appreciate the beauty of structure and the discipline of engineering.

The body of the keypiece draws directly from classic Cessna design language—its main keyway and spine echo the iconic wing strut and internal truss geometry found throughout the airframe. The outer profile resolves into a sculpted wing tip, milled from aerospace-grade aluminum to honor the distinctive planform that has defined generations of high-wing aircraft.

Each piece is engineered, finished, and hand-assembled in small batches.
Currently compatible with select Cessna aircraft and Cessna-based experimental builds.

The First Lift

Design Story

When Kyle Fosso—the founder of Bushliner and builder of modern bush planes—first reached out to Formawerx, the goal was simple: create a one-off keypiece worthy of his bespoke aircraft. But as the design took shape, he realized it deserved a wider purpose. Kyle wanted this piece to be more than a personal upgrade; he wanted it to honor the airframe that started nearly every private pilot’s journey and celebrate the community that keeps those aircraft—and their stories—alive.

For Kyle, everything began in a Cessna. It’s where he learned discipline, respect for weather, and the fundamentals of honest flying. And he knew that was true for so many others. Cessna airframes have trained generations of pilots and built a culture rooted in mentorship, craftsmanship, and stubborn love for the sky. Opening this design to the public became his way of giving back to that world.

The keypiece reflects that intention in its engineering. Its core structure echoes the geometry of classic wing struts and internal truss forms that define Cessna’s iconic simplicity. The wingtip is intentionally separable, allowing future tip designs and compatibility options as additional aircraft references emerge—mirroring the modular, iterative spirit of experimental and bush-flying culture.

Private aviation is intimate, committed, and community-driven. This keypiece celebrates that legacy—and invites every pilot to carry a piece of it in their hand.
